About Library

Central Library has been functional on the 1st and 2nd floor of the Academic Block of the Institute. The library has been providing daily in-house services to its users. The Central Library has 462 seating capacity at one time. The library has been divided into five reading room dedicated to Faculty, Nursing Officer, MBBS Students, Nursing and Paramedical Students and other staff separately.

Library Timings

All days

  • For students: - 08:00 AM to 09:30 PM
  • For others: - 08:00 AM to 12:00 (Midnight)
  • Closed on: 26th January, 15th August, and 02nd October
  • Festival holidays: Holi and Diwali

Plagiarism Check

The Central Library provides plagiarism-checking services through iThenticate for faculty, researchers, students, and other staff.

Newspapers Services

The Central Library has subscribed to a total of six (06) newspapers—three (03) in English (The Times of India, The Tribune, The Indian Express) and three (03) in Hindi (Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, Divya Himachal).

Internet / Wi-Fi Facility

The Central Library provides high-speed internet and Wi-Fi connectivity to its users. Users can access online academic resources, e-journals, databases, and other digital content within the library premises using the institute network.

Photocopying and Printing Service

The library offers photocopying and printing facilities to support academic and research needs. Users can obtain copies of required documents, subject to copyright regulations and institutional policies.

Reading Room Facility

The Central Library provides a spacious and peaceful reading environment for its users. The reading rooms are well-equipped with adequate seating, lighting, and ventilation to support uninterrupted study and research.

Library E-Resources

  • The library is a member of One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) to access the e-journals provided by Govt. of India.
  • ONOS is a national initiative to strengthen India’s research ecosystem by providing seamless access to e-resources from major publishers such as BMJ, Elsevier, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Wolters Kluwer, and others.
  • The library is provided the facility to access the e-resources within the institute as well as remote access (through INFED).
