General Surgery
Introduction
The Department of General Surgery offers comprehensive surgical services specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions, particularly through advanced endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery. Our team is highly skilled in performing diagnostic and basic therapeutic endoscopic procedures for gastrointestinal (GI) tract disorders, including upper GI endoscopy (esophagogastroduodenoscopy) and colonoscopy, aimed at detecting and treating conditions such as ulcers, tumors, strictures, inflammatory bowel diseases, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
Additionally, we utilize minimally invasive techniques, such as laparoscopy, to address complex GI tract issues, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and colorectal cancer, ensuring faster recovery times, reduced pain, and minimal scarring for our patients.
In the field of hernia surgery, we specialize in both open and laparoscopic hernia repair techniques, including hiatal, diaphragmatic, inguinal, umbilical, and ventral hernia repairs, prioritizing minimal postoperative discomfort and quicker returns to daily activities.
We also provide state-of-the-art trauma care services for prompt surgical intervention for injured patients. Our department is committed to delivering advanced care by combining the latest surgical advancements with a patient-centered approach, ensuring that all procedures are tailored to the individual needs of patients, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and long-term health outcomes.
